Will you cover my county?
Every one of Ohio's 88 counties is on the list. Check the
County Index to see what's live and what's still underway — and let me know if there's one you'd like to see sooner.
Where do your records come from?
Primary sources: courthouse land and probate records, tax duplicates, church and cemetery records, historical newspapers, and military pension files (largely NARA M804 for Revolutionary War pensioners). Compiled trees are a starting point, never the final word.
Can I suggest a soldier for Patriot Paths or Ohio Patriots & Pioneers?
Yes — send the soldier's name, unit, and whatever pension or service file information you have, and I'll take a look.
Do you do personal research requests?
I'm not currently taking one-on-one client research, but send your brick wall along — if it fits a future episode, it may end up on the channel.
